Montagne ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and handles your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR / AVG) and applicable Dutch law. This policy explains what data we collect through our website, why, and what rights you have.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Montagne is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy-related questions or requests, contact us at info@montagneagency.com.
2. What data we collect and why
Contact and lead forms. When you fill in a contact or lead form, we collect the data you provide — typically your name, email address, company name, phone number (if given), and the content of your message.
Purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to discuss or provide our services.
Legal basis: your consent and/or the steps necessary to enter into an agreement at your request (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR).
Newsletter (if you subscribe). If we offer a newsletter and you sign up, we collect your email address and any name you provide.
Purpose: to send you updates, content, and offers about our services.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in each email or by contacting us.
Website analytics. We use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referral source).
Purpose: to measure and improve our website and content.
Legal basis: your consent for non-essential cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), or our legitimate interest in improving our site where data is processed in a privacy-friendly, aggregated manner (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not collect special categories of personal data through our website, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
3. Cookies and tracking
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies:
Functional cookies — necessary for the website to work. These do not require consent.
Analytics and marketing cookies — set by the tools below. These are only placed after you give consent through our cookie banner.
We use the following third-party services that may place cookies or process data:
Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) — website usage analytics. Data may be transferred outside the EEA; Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses for such transfers.
Framer (Framer B.V.) — our website hosting and design platform, which may collect basic technical and analytics data to deliver and secure the site.
You can change or withdraw your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie settings link on our website, or by adjusting your browser settings.
4. How long we keep your data
Form and enquiry data: retained for as long as needed to handle your request and, where a client relationship follows, for the duration of that relationship plus any statutory retention periods (e.g. the 7-year Dutch tax/administration obligation where applicable).
Newsletter data: retained until you unsubscribe.
Analytics data: retained according to the configured retention period of the analytics tool (typically up to 14 months for Google Analytics).
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
Service providers (processors) acting on our behalf — for example our website host (Framer), analytics provider (Google), and any future email/newsletter provider. We enter into data processing agreements with these parties as required by the GDPR.
Authorities, where we are legally obliged to do so.
6. International transfers
Some of our service providers process data outside the European Economic Area (e.g. the United States). Where this happens, we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
access the personal data we hold about you;
rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
erase your data ("right to be forgotten");
restrict or object to processing;
data portability;
withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@montagneagency.com. We will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss and unauthorised access.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on our website, with the date of the last update shown at the top.
